  • For a great day out with the Family visit the Animal Ark near NorwichIf you like farm animals, wildlife and the outdoors you'll love the Animal Ark. Set in 20 acres of attractive countryside there's lots of fun things to do. Go wild on all the adventure play or visit the Pet Barn and talk to the keeper. You can walk by the side of the waterfowl lake or feed the pygmy goats in their pen.You will see lots of farm animals including cattle, goats, pigs, sheep, ponies, donkies and llamas. Visit the Pets Pavilion to see all the pet animals, it's open all day but at allocated times our Keeper hosts sessions where you can touch, hold and learn about animal care and welfare. Have you ever held a rat or a ferret? Well now's your chance! If you like birds then we've got those too with a variety of parakeets, finches, pheasants, chickens, turkeys and waterfowl. The Animal Ark is also a very natural environment for wildlife and we even have our own Heron Colony.There's adventure play with something for all ages including slides, swings, towers, sandpit, go karts,  climbing wall and 50 metre zip wire. There's toddler play and ride ons and a small indoor play area for the under 7's.On Summer Sundays starting Sunday 26th July you can also see meerkats, otters, racoon and reptiles, (including Samson the giant tortoise), creepy insects and other unusual critters.Our cosy cafe serves hot and cold meals with healthy options for both adults and children. Alternatively bring a picnic and eat alfresco on the terrace or one of the picnic areas.
