  • This  traditional village pub in the lovely village of Appleton has so much to offer those seeking what it used to be like when pubs where pubs in the heart of the community, with three rooms, a cosy snug, a front bar and dining room aswell as two real fires hmmm. After a very long spell of not doing food this pub will be on the map shortly for it's wholesome and hearty home made fare. Lunch from 12 -2pm (except wed) traditional and not so traditional sunday roasts. Evening meals  6 -9pm Wed, Fri and Sat  Thursday evenings is Fish& Chip Night (Fresh fish in  real ale beer batter and chips all wrapped in paper. Eat in or take away just £5) Functions, dinner parties  up to 20 can be catered for. The Plough Inn Coffee Shop will be open from 9ish till 12pm Monday to Friday for those interested  in an expresso or cappucino & danish with thier morning papers. Other offerings are a very large garden for you and your family with an Aunt sally pitch for your use. Bed and Breakfast is also available rates are £50 per couple or £35 for single. We are just a short walk to the Thames  and only 10 min to Oxford.  Hope to see you soon, oh yes the real ales are great too with the only Mild for miles around. MORE THAN JUST A PUB!
