  • The Kings Arms Inn is a Grade II listed thatched and whitewashed building with some impressive original features located in the beautiful village of Stockland.  It has an excellent reputation for fine dining and fine wines. There is the main restaurant and the Cotley Bar restaurant, both with inviting log fires.  The a la carte menu is exciting and imaganative, don't be surprised to find dishes such as Ostrich Fillet and Pigeon Breast, as well as hosting traditional favourites such as Rack of Lamb and Beef Strogonaff and Home made Soups and Desserts. Also available is the lunch time bar menu.  All produce is from local suppliers using (where possible) all local meat and fresh caught fish from the Devon coast.There is the lively Farmers Bar which is where most of the locals are found enjoying local ales such as Otter and Exmoor as well as the usual keg beers, this is also where the Darts Board and Pool table is located and where the band will be playing on entertainment nights.There are 3 en-site guest rooms and a skittles alley that can be booked for private functions, a pretty garden and large car park.   (Please note that bookings are essential for evening meals).
