  • Set in the grounds of Scalford Hall and once owned by Colonel Coleman of mustard fame, The Lodge housed the gardeners & chauffeurs for the Hall. Now a picturesque Edwardian house, set in the rolling countryside, it is a welcoming B & B with roaring log fires in the winter and delightful gardens to enjoy in summer, which gives it a typical country cottage feel.We are situated only two miles from the market town of Melton Mowbray and half a mile from the attractive village of Scalford. The Lodge boasts self-contained, tastefully decorated accommodation with private guest entrance and staircase. We offer one twin room, one double room, private guests' shower room and lounge/dinning room. Both rooms are tastefully furnished with period cottage furniture and excellent views of the surrounding countrsideThe Lodge also has a  Lounge/Diner with roaring log fires in inclement weather. Sandy provides a variety of Breakfasts with special diets using all locally sourced produce. Generous hospitality trays are available in each room.
