The market towns of Brecon, Hay-on-Wye and Builth Wells are within easy and accessible travelling distance, panoramic views of the Black Mountains, Wye Valley and the Brecon Beacons National Park is also within a short drive away. On the doorstep of the Black Mountains and the Brecon Beacons and within walking distance of the River Wye, you will never be short of something to see and do. Scenery The dramatic Black Mountains form the eastern part of the Brecon Beacons National Park, and provide a dramatic contrast to the Wye Valley. They comprise a series of long heather-covered ridges, separating narrow and remote valleys. Here the sweeping views of rugged escarpments and untamed moorland are home to the peregrine falcon and red grouse. Fishing We can arrange for fishing and equipment through Sportfish within the village of Winforton Walking There are an enormous number of walks to enjoy in the area and along the river Wye. From the most challenging routes to a gentle stroll, there is something for everyone to enjoy. Driving Driving in the area also provides access to superb scenery. Drive through the national parks (mind the white fluffy lumps there sheep!) and over the mountains on quiet country lanes that provide peaceful picnic spots with amazing views. Towns Hay-on-Wye is the nearest town with its many bookshops and cafes. We are also within striking distance of some of the loveliest towns and villages this side of England
