Further Description
  • The Centre Provides services and activites fo all ages, from the young to the old and from all walks of life. Our intention is to interlink different activities and services where possible, which will give greatest benefit to the local community. The Park Centre has a Café which is let by Brandon Trust who run a catering course for mature students with learning disabilities. The centre staff also give up their free time along with the volunteers to provide activities for children up to the age of 11throughout the school holidays. The aim of this scheme is to provide somewhere for children to play and learn in a safe environment.  We hold an over 50’s coffee morning every week, day trips are arranged and talks of interest take place. A new project which  commenced in January is our  mother and toddler group which run by members of the Management Committee. Also taking place at the centre are counselling sessions, Filton College will be running Computer training courses for beginners, Community Learning  are runing ESOL lessons and numerous Somali projects to get Somalis involved in the community. The centre as a whole are continually looking to run and extend new courses/project for the community.
