  •   ‘Come as a Guest and Leave as a Friend’ The White Horse, Hitcham, is Grade II listed freehouse. It is situated midway between Ipswich and Bury St. Edmunds.  The pub is a privately owned and family run business.  It has a very warm, friendly atmoshphere and can cater for all types of functions.  To the left of the pub entrance there is a separate public bar with a pool table, dart board and other pub games with open log fire during the winter months.  Straight ahead is the lounge bar/dining room and restaurant.  All food is freshly prepared to order and our real ales are served to perfection.  During the summer months we open the beer garden which we use for barbeques.  There are also picnic benches at the front of the pub should you wish to sit and watch the world go by.  We are currently developing accommodation to the rear of the property utilising an old stable block and converting it into two double and one twin ensuite rooms.  This will be ready by December, 2009 and pictures of the construction will be posted on our website so customers can follow the progress.
