  • One thing you can be sure of at The Famous Lord Nelson is that you will receive a warm welcome from your hosts, Sally and Phil, and the other staff and customers.We provide high quality good value food in a relaxed and cozy atmosphere,alongside an extensive offering of excellent cask ales. We have a separate bar and pool room with big screen TV and hi tech juke box. Our substantial lounge is both cozy and comfortable with a separate dining area. There are disabled facilities alongside baby changing facilities (nappy sacks, baby wipes etc provided free of charge), and high chairs are available on request.In the Summer it is great to sit out and enjoy our family friendly garden, which has a separate under sevens play area with little tikes toys and bouncy castle. Older children have access to the well known park just at the side of us. A short stroll (30 seconds) away is access to wonderful walks alongside the River Trent with far reaching views.Traditional home cooked Sunday lunches are always popular and are served 12-00pm-4.00pm.Every sunday evening we hold a quiz and bingo night which always goes down well with the locals.
