Further Description
Whittonstall Hall Livery Yard http://www.whittonstall-hall-livery-yard.co.uk The very best 24 hour care Top quality safe stables Competitive rates Easy access Haylage & shavings on site Safe - on the doorstep off road riding Extensive network of bridleways Full, Part, DIY & Grass Liveries Holiday and Convalescent Liveries Horses for loan Whittonstall Hall Livery Yard is situated in a rural setting, with a brilliant network of bridleways, woodland and country roads in addition to its own private land. On our own land, we offer you the opportunity to gallop flat out, school your horse and jump our own jumps. As a private yard, we have a very healthy acreage of grazing available to your horse. This can be restricted if you wish, should your horse be prone to becoming a little more portly than is good for him. All horses are turned out every day. It is very rare that the weather is so bad that this cannot happen. There are yard lights that come on early in the morning (before dawn in the winter). At night, the lights are timed to come on as natural daylight fails so that you can work comfortably before the birds get up and after they have gone to bed if you wish.Quality haylage and shavings are available on site, and if you wish, bagged feed can be bought in for you when we buy our own. Horses are normally fully turned out for the summer, but it is up to you.Being a reasonable height above sea level brings great benefit to your horse in the summer months, as there are much fewer flies about to cause aggravation and eye infections. Our strict worming programme ensures that all equines carry a minimal burden. All horses are wormed at the same time, by you, or ourselves if you are unable to be there. Worm egg counts are performed free of charge to ensure the effectiveness of the worming programme. All of the stables are of a generous size and above all provide a safe secure environment for your horse when stabled. All horses are stabled so that they can see other horses and as far as possible we ensure that all horses have company ALL of the time. Stables are constructed of the best quality materials and have been built to withstand the worst that a horse can throw at them.So many establishments don't provide the basic requirements for the humans using their premises. If you are anything like me you will be pleased to know that we provide toilet facilities. Additionally, we are very much in the habit of providing hot coffee (with an unusual alcoholic flavour!) on cold days, when you return from the ride that has done you good, but has nearly killed you, due to hypothermia. We aim to and succeed in providing the highest standard of management and care for your horse. Whilst your horse or pony is resident at Whittonstall Hall Livery Yard, we ensure that everything possible is done to make his or her stay comfortable, safe and enjoyable. We welcome any inspection and look forward to playing our part in the care of your equine friend.
