  • The Anster Young People Project LtdCharity Number 1093030The Anster Young Peoples Project is a charity working with young people and their families around the issues of substance misuse. We offer support by means of residential rehabilitation, advice and information, and training for anyone affected or working in the field. We work in conjunction with other agencies, statutory and voluntary, offering coordinated support for each individual. We run specific support groups in the community regarding family issues and Hepatitis C. There appeared to us that there was a gap in existing services in relation to drug provisions for young people. We researched with existing youth projects around the North West area of England, within Young Offenders Institutes and with young users themselves asking them to identify their principle needs. An overwhelming identified need was to feel (safe) it is to this end that we developed this residential project on the basis of a ?family? unit, offering a secure base from which young people can develop.We try to address young peoples needs in a holistic manner, furthering all areas of their personal development as well as tackling their drug issues.
