  • Steve Reynolds, the Stagg's chef/owner hit the headlines in 2000 for winning a supreme accolade for his cooking, but The Stagg has remained unpretentious and friendly. Local produce is the key feature. The Stagg has 2 letting rooms which, like the dining rooms do get booked up so it is always best to phone ahead. The Inn is closed on Mondays and for the 1st 2 weeks of November, Xmas and Boxing Day and new year's day. It is open on Bank holiday Mondays and closed on the following Tues., but for the May holiday closed on the Monday. Children are welcome as well as dogs.
