  • ABOUT HOLLINS VILLAGE Hollins is a quaint village located between Bury, Whitefield and Unsworth, to the North of Greater Manchester. The village is built on former farmland dating back to the 18th Century and has been slowly developed into a small conurbation of houses, village shops, Bury golf course is adjacent and boasts beautiful, undulating semi-moorland. Hollins Vale Local Nature Reserve is primarily a farmland reserve, with areas of woodland and wetland adding to its wildlife diversity. Some parts have been designated as a site of Biological Importance. (See a Walk in Hollins Vale).Hollins Village has a strong sense of community living focused around HollinsGrundy Primary School which has places for 200 pupils and the community centre which regular activities include Playgroup, Mothers and Toddlers Groups, Scouts, Keep Fit, Dancing Classes, Judo and Children’s Summer Play Scheme. Hollins has a village pub The Hollins Bush which is a great place for socialising with locals from the area, along with The Roach Bank Inn on the outskirts. Hollins is located between Whitefield, Bury and Unsworth on the A56 approximately 5 minutes north of Junction 17 of the M60 ring road and Junction 3 of the M66.
