  •  Whats in the Well Creek? Species. The Well Creek is mixed fishery with many species present:Roach,Rudd,Perch and Bream are the predominant summer fish although some good Tench can be caught.During the winter period Roach, Perch and Bream can provide some good winter sport. Winter Pike and Zander also give some good sport. (see Fish Caught on the Well Creek) BaitsMost baits can be used with maggot accounting for small fish. Bread and paste produce some quality fish. Quality Tench and Perch often fall to worm. Ground bait should be used sparinglyDead baits produce the bigger Pike,Zander and sometimes Perch in the winter. Spinners and Plugs can produce Perch and Pike but tend to be smaller. TackleThe creek is 4ft deep and generally shallower in many sections. Float fishing with pole or match rod using light tackle produces the best results. Dead baits should be fished in mid water using a standard wire trace. If you have any information about fishing the Well Creek send in and we can publish it.
