  •  Come racing in the beautiful countryside of Northumberland and in the nearby Scottish borders. We have three racecourses within 45 minutes drive of the hotel. Kelso is a small Scottish border town with a racecourse on the outskirts.National hunt racing is a firm favourite in the borders with plenty of places of interest to visit. The scenery driving over Carter Bar into Scotland is breathtaking. Historic houses give a real feel for days gone by - The house of Mary Queen of Scots in Jedburgh alongside the ancient abbey. Floors castle and gardens, Thirlstane castle - castles still lived in that it is our priveldge to be able to explore. Shopping is unique - small shops with real personal service.Hexham is a Northumbrian market town with a great racecourse. Again it is National Hunt with superb viewing. The town itself has a beautiful abbey and shops galore.Newcastle racecourse has both Flat and National Hunt racing throughout the year with great sponsorship opportunities. Come to the Otterburn Tower and enjoy racing at one or maybe two of these racecourses. Come and visit the local thoroughbred stud farm next door to the hotel and see the potential racehorses bred there:- the foals, yearlings, brood mares and stallions.WEEKEND BREAKS from £210 per person for a two night break.
