  • Hingham Sports Hall and Playing Field. The playing field, on the Watton Road, to the west of Hingham, was purchased by the town council as arable land in 1983.Since then it has been leased to the Hingham Playing Field Association (HPFA), a registered charity, set up to provide sports and recreational facilities for the residents of Hingham.    The Hingham Playing Field Association has provided a multi-purpose games area, a 3 badminton court sports' hall and a playspace for younger children on the playing field.Part of the sports hall is leased to Hingham Sports and Social Club which uses it to provide a bar for members of the club.The Skate Park              The skatepark was installed by the town council in 2004, but it was funded entirely by donations from South Norfolk Council, Awards for All, WREN, and Hopkin Homes. It was designed by the young people who had earlier asked the town council to consider providing a skate park.                                   & ;nbs p;
