Further Description
FRAWT – a campaign group comprising residents from the villages of Knightcote, Bishops Itchington, Fenny Compton, Northend, Gaydon, Burton Dassett, Temple Herdewyke and other surrounding villages. Its purpose is to provide information for local residents about both the planning application for a 60ft Meteorological Mast and any subsequent Wind Farm application that may follow. Energy company Broadview Energy Ltd has put in a planning application for a 60ft Meteorological mast and (according to their website) hope to construct 6 massive wind turbines, up to 127m (416ft high) – amongst the largest in the UK in Knightcote Village in Warwickshire. ____________ Edit FRAWT – Feldon Residents And Wind Turbines OVER 160 LETTERS OF OBJECTION HAVE NOW BEEN POSTED ON THE SDC SITE! NOTE: We have spoken to Stratford District Council who inform us that you can still make objections until END OF OCTOBER This campaign needs funding to enable us to fight this campaign. Please donate to help with printing costs, legal costs and much much more. Please donate as much as you are able to afford – it all helps. I urge you to also take a look at THIS PAGE for ways in which you can help us – we need donations of time and skills as well as cash DONATE TIME AND SKILLS HERE This website is run by FRAWT – a campaign group comprising residents from the villages of Knightcote, Bishops Itchington, Fenny Compton, Northend, Gaydon, Burton Dassett, Temple Herdewyke and other surrounding villages. These images show both the mast : and what the turbines may look like: If, once you have considered the information on this website, you are opposed to the proposed wind farm, please visit the Support page to register your views. If you are still undecided but would like to discuss the issues further or find out more, please contact George Wood by email giving your telephone number. We also welcome any general comments, views, information for the website etc – please visit the Feedback page. Please see this page to see how others feel: Well Done People of Feldon! STOP PRESS: Why are Broadview offering a visit to a wind farm where the turbines are less than HALF THE SIZE of the proposed turbines in Knightcote (which are to be 400ft) – are they trying to con us by any chance??? – (see this comment ) Are they selling timeshares? They behave the same way – taking you off on tour so they can sell their idea to you ALL DAY LONG – do not be conned into attending this sham This is the size of the proposed wind turbines here!!
