Includes Sculptural Plantings, Cloud Pruning, gravel garden and working organic kitchen garden complete with hens and pigs.  Cups of tea on order and included in cost.   Saturday 8th August                      Horton Flower Show This is a major event in the life of our host village and the show side of things is run by the club. Please offer to help, enter classes in the show, just come along and buy raffle tickets. The show schedule will be sent to you with the Summer up-date. Anticipates creating a Veitch Heritage Collection.   Thursday 8th October       The Life and Times of Christine Walkden     THE WAREHOUSE, ILMINSTER. Christine Walkden     so well known on T.V. An amusing, practical and knowledgeable lady. Often to be seen giving advice to her neighbour Reg. Should have some interesting tales to tell.   Thursday 5th November            Alpines A -Z John Sanders   Forty years of growing primarily alpines and ericaceae. Previously Hon.Editor of RHS Rhododendron,Camellia & Magnolia Year Book. Alpine Garden Society Judge.   Thursday 3rd December        Magic in the Winter Garden John Horsey              Remember John, “a victim of the storm”, also, his enlightening talk on Heaths and Heathlands. How important it is to have life in our gardens in the Winter Months, we can add colour and form to cheer those short daylight hours. The talk will be followed by a seasonal drink and nibbles.   Thursday 7th January 2010     People and Plants  Lady Rosemary Fitzgerald    A former conservation worker in UK and Ireland. She now runs a peat free, non chemical nursery; Beggars Roost.
