Further Description
  • Aldershot Friendship Club meets fortnightly on a Thursday in the St John Ambulance Hall, Victoria Road and it needs some volunteers who are fit and able to help run it. Over 30 older people meet together for conversation, some gentle exercise, frequently a speaker or entertainer, tea and biscuits but above all for FUN. The club is part of charity Brendoncare's Clubs Division and as such has a small but dedicated group of paid staff to support the volunteers. Expenses are paid, you will get a proper inducation (including training) and ongoing support is readily available. As a responsible organisation we always ask for two references and potential volunteers must submit to a CRB check. Once that's done though, its all fun, fun, fun. If you have 3 hours every other Thursday and can get to Aldershot, enjoy being sociable then you could do worse than find out about us and the member of Aldershot Friendship Club. To find out more contact Volunteering Manager Julie Lamont on 01962 857097 who can arrange a visit to the club for you. They are all looking forward to meeting you!  We have clubs 57 clubs across Hampshire including Farnborough and Fleet so if Aldershot is not the one for you then why not consider one of the others.
