  •  LIVERPOOL CITY COUNCIL RANGER SERVICEJUNIOR RANGER CLUB Liverpool City Council Ranger Service are introducing a new and exciting initiative aimed at the city’s younger park users. The Rangers are introducing a “Junior Ranger Club” which will be aimed at 7 to 11 year olds.The club will meet monthly and a full programme of exciting environmental activities and adventures within the world of nature will be available. As part of our plans to encourage children to enjoy and appreciate all their parks and open spaces the Juniors Rangers Club  will encourage children to learn all about nature and develop new skills and interests in the environment while having a great time. All our Rangers have great experience and expertise in a wide range of environmental subjects including Ecology, Ornithology, Botany, Forestry, Wildlife Art and Crafts. With this being the City’s “Birthday Year” we are looking to develop naturalistsfor Liverpool’s future generations. The Aims of Junior Ranger Club are::To encourage children to take pride in their parks and woodlands and to help make Liverpool a “greener” city.:To explain how nature works in a fun and exciting way.:To teach children the importance of the environment.:To educate children as to the vast array of wildlife on our doorstep.:To develop naturalists of the future: For the children to have fun adventures within the world of nature. Members of the club will design the clubs new logo, they will be eligible for lots of free gifts, the can contribute to the Junior Ranger Newsletter and ,above all, they will be learning about and helping to protect our environment Liverpool is rapidly being recognised for its green cultural heritage and it is hoped that the introduction of a Junior Ranger Club will protect and enhance our green heritage for future generations and Liverpool will be noticed as on of the greener cities, not just in Europe, but in the world. To join this Free exciting new club contact Liverpool Ranger Service by ringing Liverpool Direct on 0151 233 3007 or email   Liverpool.direct @liverpool.gov.uk
