Further Description
  • WANT TO OWN A LOW COST HOME? A site has been identified in St Erth on which it is proposed to build low cost homes for local people. Our aim is to deliver these homes at cost which is approximately 60% of open market value! If you are in full-time employment, but in need of a house because the mortgage you can obtain is insufficient to buy a local home on the open market, then you may be eligible to buy a low cost home within this exciting new development. To qualify for one of these houses you must satisfy at least one of the following criteria: You were born in the Parish of St Erth. You have lived in the Parish for the last 5 years or more. You previously lived in the Parish continuously for 10 years up to the age of 16. You have been in continuous full or part-time employment (excluding seasonal) in the Parish for the last 12 months or more. You are a key worker in need of an affordable house. This is defined by Penwith District Council as ??any person primarily employed in the District of Penwith who is unable to afford suitable accommodation in the private housing market unassisted and fulfils a role in a universally accessible essential local service which if not performed would be detrimental to the well-being of the community..?. TO BE CONSIDERED FOR ONE OF THE PROPOSED HOMES YOU MUST REGISTER YOUR INTEREST AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. IF YOU ARE REGISTERED ON PENWITH?S HOUSING REGISTER YOU MUST STILL REGISTER WITH HOUSING MATTERS. WE NEED YOU TO SUPPORT OUR APPLICATION FOR LOW COST LOCAL HOUSING. WE CANNOT RECEIVE A PLANNING CONSENT WITHOUT YOUR SUPPORT.
