  • It has been drawn to my attention recently that MVDC does not recycle a proprtion of the material that we entrust it with. Aluminium foil and Green Material end up in land fill sites and practices seem pretty sloppy generally when it comes to the handling and sorting of materials. Also, trying to get cardboard recycled from an office set-up I recently taken over, I found that MVDC do not recycle from "trade" outlets, yet. Dave Parr and his office were very helpful in the late eighties when we wanted to recycle all the galss, foil and cardboard from the Pizza Express in the High Street, but now all the commercial premises are handled privately, and we all know how successful that always is! What a shame that MVDC doesn`t feel it would like to be closer to our community.
