Darfield residents are invited to train to become first responders,giving oxygen, reassurance and maybe defibrilation to people who have colapsed. This is organised and run by the ambulance service, full training given by them. The idea being that a person living in the area can often reach the patient quicker than an ambulance, and provide assistance until the ambulance crew get there. Once trained responders will be on a rota system.
