  • I love metal detecting as a hobby. Have gained permission to detect on Greenway farm land and have found two nice brooches so far one roman ,the other medieval. Would love permission off any land owners as i am looking for new areas all the time.My hobby is like fishing you never know what might turn up next.I have a 15thC silver ring found at Milbourne, with the British Museum awaiting avaluation at the moment. If purchased by a museum the farmer who owns the land will get 50% of the value.I would love to keep the ring but the ring has been declaired treasure trove.I also do a lost and found free of charge, 4 rings and a set of landrover keys so far.I am an ex army warrant officer who loves to detect every weekend if pos.
