Perhapsyou have always wanted to learn self defence, build your self confidenceand improve your agility?  TheKatsu Academy of Shotokan Karate in Bourne are launching regular four-weekBeginners courses which commence this Saturday and the following Wednesday soyou can give Karate a try. Beginners aretaught in a simple step-by-step method as an introduction to the art of ShotokanKarate, learning highly effective strikes, kicks and blocks.Through this systemstudents become fitter, more flexible and find that their ability to concentrateimproves. InstructorMartin Gadd, 3rd Dan, commented ?Karate increases co-ordination ofboth mind and body in a way that few other sports can. It is an excellentway to develop self confidence and helps build a respect for others.The beginners courses allow new students to have fun whilst learning aboutKarate? Studentsrange from age 6 to 76 years, and are from all walks of life and all abilities.Training for all abilities is held at Bourne Abbey Church Hall (Off SouthStreet, Bourne) on Wednesdays from 7pm ?8pm and on Saturdays 2pm-3pm.
