  • Gala Association SuccessLoanhead Gala Association have been gratified to be included in the recent UKVillages Scheme of Awards.In this our Centenary Year, monies of any kind are much appreciated and this sum, will help our Children in the Burgh fulfill a long help aim of our committee to being the recording of our Burgh's history in the last 100 years.No group could be happier than ours. We thank the Awards Committee and promise the monies will be utilised wisely. Other NewsOur recent fundraising efforts at Sainbury's (bag packing) has proved extremely worthwhile as did the Christmas Fair. Although funds are being raised , monies are in short supply for our Centenary Celebrations and any other fund raising ideas would be welcomed, as would any donations ( contact 0131 440 0363)Santa Clause was touring our village recently as the Children of the Burgh were preparing for Christmas.He listened intently to the kids and kindly handed out a lollipop or pen to all he saw. Santa says " Merry Christmas and Happy New to Loanhead, your Burgh is a swell place"
