  • Abinger Hammer Village Survey ResultsThe recent survey to ensure the wishes and views of local residents are fully understood by the organising committee was well supported. Some 1650 forms were distributed and over 300 replies were received.If our Lottery application is to be successsful it is vital that it is perceived by the Community Fund at the Lottery Board that there is strong local support for our village hall. So the positive response that we have had is a great boost for the committee who are working very hard to prepare the bid.The following three lucky winners of the survey prizes are (1) �50 cheque, Catherin Harry of Abinger Hammer, (2) Two bottles of wine, Peter Connell of Gomshall and (3) one bottle of wine, Mrs Earle of Peaslake.The committee aim to enter their application at the end of this year in order that work could commence in 2003 if our bid is successful.
