  • Training for cross country running takes place at the YMCA every Friday from 3.45pm to 5pm. This activity is for beginners from the age of 9 to 13 years and is suitable for boys and girls who don't mind getting wet and covered with mud when we run in the woods and fields surrounding the YMCA grounds,Start at the YMCA sportshall, cost is just �1 ;20 per personRoy Saxby YMCAHi thought you might be interested in this, photos will be available shortly.Best wishesRoy Saxby, Activities Manager YMCAGyroball is a new, fast, all action attacking invasion game which has been invented, designed and developed by Roy Saxby of the Grimsby YMCA.The game is between two opposing teams where opponents have to be mentally alert and tactically sound with the ability to think quick and move fast in support of their team mates.There are eight players in a team with five playing at any one time and each player plays the game while sat on a multi-directional self propelled 'Gyrotor'.The game is non contact and is suitable for boys and girls from 8 years upwards.Gyroball sessions take place at the YMCA sportshall in Peaks Lane, Grimsby every Wednesday from after school (about 3.30pm) to 5pm and costs just �1.20 per person. Dress should be loose clothing or shorts and trainers and drinks should be brought along as it is a fast, hot game.PS Please respond if of any interestCheers Roy
