  • General InformationSpennymoor Badgers is the junior section of the town's St John Ambulance Unit. Catering for children aged 5 to 11 years the 'Badger Sett' provides a safe and friendly environment for children to learn about first aid and a variety of other subjects such as; the environment, being healthy, fun and games, caring for people, animals and the history of St John AmbulanceMeetings and EventsMeetings take place in the Community Hall - Hartley Terrace Spennymoor. Monday evenings (except Bank Holidays) In addition to regular meetings Badgers take part in trips and activities in the County Durham area with the opportunity for older children to take part in residential courses. All Badgers are offered the chance to become a member of a team competing in the Annual Badger Competition, and have the opportunity to undertake a 'young lifesaver' course if they would like to do so.Costs and Charges£1.00 per child per week.Hours Available6.00pm to 7.00pmAccessible PremisesPremises are accessible to wheelchairs.
