In this pack you will find: a record card, which we need you to fill in and return to us, taking particular note to emergency contact numbers, as this is often overlooked and email address as this is by far the most convenient way for us to contact our many members with new and often very exciting opportunities; a fund raising leaflet and a paper copy of this page.Where & When? All sections meet on Monday evening at our headquarters,“The Cube”,Edward Street,Nuneaton.CV11 5RHBeavers meet at 6:00pm until 7:30pmCubs meet at 6:30pm until 8:00pmScouts meet at 6:30pm until 8:30pm We try to encourage each of the sections to get out about as often as possible so on occasion the meeting times and locations may change due to trips or events, but you will be provided with these changes via your section leader. How Much? All sections pay ‘subs’ of £2 per week which is used to pay for the rent and insurances as well as activities and badges.Uniform.Chilvers Coton Scout Group operates an informal approach to uniforms, but does request that the Beaver, Cub, Scout or Leader, must be wearing the shirt or sweatshirt and necker on all activities unless specifically instructed not to. All uniforms must be worn with smart trousers (School type) or the optional Navy Scout trousers. For practiucal advice about the scout uniform, how to roll a necker, where badges go visit our uniform page. The optional, but highly recommended items include a group red T-shirt and navy combat trousers. is also available as an optional summer uniformThese uniforms are available fromThe website – Our ScoutShop Page School Wear Centre (Formerly Jeanstation) – Abbey Street Nuneaton. Coventry CV7 8HN  Camping & Outdoor ActivitiesCamping and outdoor activities are a fundamental part of the scouting programme and often require you child you have some clothing or equipment that you may not normally have. A formal kit list will be provided before every camp and any exceptional activities that require special clothing. As a general rule you child will need, throughout his time in at Chilvers Coton Scout Group, the following: A sleeping bag (the warmer the better), Roll mat (foam mat to sleep on.), A single large rucksack or sports bag (suitcases are not easy to carry across fields), Plastic plate, bowl & mug & basic cutlery (not mum’s best silver!), hiking boots or similar (very important when in scouts), Full waterproof clothing – jacket & trousers, & a torch. These are not all needed on day one and become more important when in cubs or scouts. We can help with providing some of the equipment but forewarned is forearmed as they say!Ways You Can help?Don’t get scared…. We don’t expect that every parent has the time or inclination to become scout leaders although that is a possibility. You can help in a variety of ways including:Become a member of our executive committee. Assistance with fundraising. (See below) Participating in group social events. Helpi
