  • Chardstock Historical Record Group (CHRG) was formed in 2000 and is a small non-profit making organisation dedicated to collecting and recording information on the Parish and the surrounding area, including the present Parish of All Saints. Our primary intention is to record research material not readily available from other sources and to use our local knowledge of such things as place or family names to ensure a high degree of accuracy.Chardstock Web Museum was created in 2009 as the most effective way of making information about the history of the Parish available to the greatest number of people world-wide.Our website includes:Parish Register Transcripts • Census Transcripts 1841 to 1901Memorial Inscriptions • Wills & Probate • Land Surveys House Histories • Chardstock Estate...and much more.The site will be updated with new information twice a year.Group meetings held at The George Inn, Chardstock - all welcome, please contact us for details.
