  • 60TH BIRTHDAY - HAMSEY GREEN JUNIOR SCHOOL -  60TH BIRTHDAY. The school opened on this site on 23rd May 1949 as Hamsey Green Primary School. 170 children were enrolled. We are going to celebrate the school’s 60th Birthday on Friday 26th June 2009 from 1.30 – 3.00pm with a Party on the field including, jelly, snacks and events. The school will be open for visitors to view children’s work and displays about the last six decades. All current parents, carers, Governors and all past pupils and past staff are invited to join us. If anyone has memorabilia or photographs from the school’s past please can you let us have copies for displays relating to the six decades. Electronic copies would be fine.
