  • The Great Western Embroiderers was formed in September 2007 to bring together Embroiderers, textile artists and mixed media artist, to promote and keep alive traditional embroidery and to discover and explore new ways with old stitches.We also give people the chance to Exhibit if they wish by arranging suitable venues. Started by two textile artists and Tutors, Kath Danswan and Maggie Harris the group meets once a month on the second Tuesday at the United Church, Calcott Street, Cricklade SN66AZwhere they stitch together from 10am to 3 pm. The GWE is the first Wiltshire group affiliate to the West Country Embroiderers.
