  • Barley Cricket ClubHistoryBarley CC was established in 1882 when the Gentlemen of Barley first played against Great Chishill. In that Barley team were two Chucks, a descendant of which still plays.Since 1922 the team has won many cups and league titles. Now playing in Cambs Junior 1 we also run a Sunday Friendlies team. A number of the senior players at the club have represented the county at the "Definately Past-It" level. Barley has played aganst Essex, the MCC and players have over the years been involved in tours to Wales, Kent, Norfolk, Notts, Sri Lanka and Kenya. Join UsBarley runs two Saturday Teams that play in the South Cambs League system and a friendly Sunday Team.  Anyone, of any ability, wishing to play for us would be most welcome at Barley CC, as would their wives, friends and children. We are a friendly yet keen club and play at one of the loveliest English grounds you could hope to find.  After all games we usually meet up in the Fox & Hounds to talk over the days heroics and to distribute medals to all and sundry.If you would like a game ring Eddie Collins with your box size, prefered length of bat and favourite after match cocktail. Eddie can be contacted at 01763 848788trainingNets are usually at Hills Rd Sports Centre, Cambridge from February til April on Sundays 10am to Noon and then at 6pm Tuesday evennings in the summer.
