  • A group of practical people who care about our environment. We aim to help our community develop towards increased local sustainability as availability and affordability of energy and other resources worsen.
    We provide help, information and advice as required to enable people to make whatever adjustments they feel capable of to reduce the overall carbon footprint of themselves and our community. We recognise that any contributions we may make will not change the world overnight, but any savings are beneficial.
    Transition St.Gennys can help with advice on energy saving, renewable energy, local resourcing of products.
    We have helped establish local allotments, local bulk buying groups, held workshops and displays on green tourism, renewable energy, hedge laying and other practical projects as well as making films available to local groups. We carried out an energy use survey in 2009 and presented the results and an outline energy descent action plan in conjunction with the Renewable Energy Office for Cornwall.
    Transition St.Gennys does not seek to tell people how to live their lives, but will provide any help and advice that may be needed to enable people to make any changes they wish to make.
