The club meets on the fourth Tuesday of each Month in the Youth Centre at 7.30pm. There is an Annual subscription of £10. Visiters pay a fee of £1. The club is focused around discussions on all aspects of gardening, a small Auction is held,a gardening quiz with prizes, a club Raffle, a flower of the month competition, and invited expert speakers giving talks on gardening subjects, also coach outings to gardens, gardening shows and Centres, new members are most welcome. MEETINGS 2011 MONTHLY SPEAKERS

JANUARY MEETING is on Tuesday 25th 7.30pm in the Youth Centre.
OUR SPEAKER: Mr Gordon Hill, his talk being: Life & Times of a Blacksmith.
UPDATE/ unfortunately Mr Hill could not make the meeting, so the members decided to have a 50 question quiz which was enjoyed by everyone.

FEBRUARY MEETING is on Tuesday 22nd 7.30pm. (Annual General Meeting.)Youth Centre.
OUR SPEAKER: Mr Phillip Bowler, his talk being: WILDLIFE IN THE GARDEN.
UPDATE/ The outgoing committee were all re-elected for 2011. Our speaker for the evening gave a wonderfull talk on Butterflies.
The flower of the month was won by Mary Bosak, 2nd Jill Stewart, 3rd Audrey Braybrooks which our speaker judged for us,after the raffle was drawn refreshments were had and the chairman then closed the meeting.

MARCH MEETING is on Tuesday 22nd 7.30pm in the Youth Centre.
OUR SPEAKER: Tom Holland, giving expert advice on Dahlias.
UPDATE/ Tom as usual gave us an excellent talk, and also brought along a variety of plants the members could buy, he then judged the flower of the month for us which was won by Jill Stewart, 2nd Norah Rymer, 3rd Peggy Parker. The raffle was drawn during refreshments, Jean James then proceeded with the mini auction which went down well. The chairman then thanked our speaker Tom, and closed the meeting.

APRIL MEETING is on Tuesday 26th 7.30pm in the Youth Centre.
OUR SPEAKER: Mr Raymond Jones, A talk on Bees.
UPDATE/ Raymonds talk on Bees was very informative, without then we would cease to exist.Flower of the month was won by Jill Stewart, 2nd Nancy Burrell, and 3rd Evelyn Needham, this was followed by the raffle and then our mini auction, the chairman then thanked our speaker and closed the meeting.

MAY MEETING is on Tuesday 24th 7.30pm in the Youth Centre.
OUR SPEAKER: Mr Trevor Rogers, his talk is on Life and Plants in a Victorian Garden.
UPDATE/ Trevor gave us a very informative talk with slides, those Victorians new there gardening, his talk gave me food for thought.
JUNE MEETING is on Tuesday 28th 7.30pm in the Youth Centre.
OUR SPEAKER: Mr Geoff Hodge, his talk is on Happy Healthy Roses.
UPDATE/ GEOFF gave us a very informative talk and slide show all about roses.
JULY MEETING is on Tuesday 26th 7.30pm in the Youth Centre.
OUR SPEAKERS: are Tony & Liz Taylor with a talk on Orchids.

The show brochures have now been printed and sent to every member with their newsletter, there are 79 classes, entries are limited to 2 per class.
