  • The Bailiff Bridge Community Association –Making Bailiffe Bridge a better place to live - for all the communityThe Community Association (BBCA) is working in partnership with the community and other organisations to develop the Memorial Park, the stream area, local footpaths, and in general will make Bailiff Bridge a better place to live. At the same time after 22 years of hard work, over the next year the community will finally have a building for community use. We are working towards a number of different aims and objectives. Some of these are focused on the benefit we can bring to community, others on the running of the centre, the business aims, in order that we create a sustainable business that will be a viable community resource for many future generations of residents of Bailiff Bridge. Our aims are to:·               Improve the quality of life for the local community of Bailiffe Bridge. ·               Enable local people to reach their full potential both individually and through the part they play in building the community. ·               Improve access for local people to the services and amenities that they need. ·               Develop the capacity of community-led groups. ·               Create a cohesive community within Bailiffe Bridge. ·               Improve understanding and increase acceptance between different groups within the community. ·               Develop a financially sustainable business that is known for the high quality of its services that will remain active in the community for many generations to come. Our objectives, or how we will achieve these aims, are to: ·               Provide space for hire in the community centre to a wide range of different community activities. ·               Provide a space where the community can congregate and socialise. ·               Develop learning opportunities for members of the community. ·               Work with community-led groups to develop their potential and expand their capacity. ·               Provide access to the internet and training in IT skills for local people. ·               Provide a space from which local services and amenities can operate, such as the library. ·               Create opportunities for local people to engage with other groups within their community to promote understanding and acceptance. ·               Secure the funding and generate the income necessary for the running of the centre. ·               Implement quality assurance tools to ensure that our services are of the highest quality. If you would like more information or you would like to be involved then please contact Sally White on e-mail sally.lightfoot@sky.com or
