  • Long Eaton Natural History  Society Watching and conserving local wildlife.LENS gives a warm welcome to all people who are interested in their natural surroundings.From September to March, indoor meetings are held on the first Monday of the month, starting at 7.15pm in the Social Activities Annex of Long Eaton Public Library, Broad Street (off Tamworth Road), Long Eaton.  A varied programme of talks is offered and members  can also give talks and report interesting sightings.In the Summer, outings are arranged to local places of interest.Records that members contribute help to build up a picture of the biodiversity of our local area, these recordings are collated and published in the LENS bulletin which is produced twice a year.If you are interested in becoming a member of Long Eaton Natural History Society you can download an application form from our website at http://www.geocities.com/lensnaturalhistory/ or contact our Chairman, Alan Heath - tel: 0115 9733766.LENS is affiliated to Derbyshire Wildlife Trust and Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust.
