  • Ardsley in Bloom is a sub committee of Ardsley Residents Association. The committee was formed to take Ardsley into Yorkshire in Bloom 2009.Preparations for the entry have been made over the last few years. At each end of the Village signs mounted in stone have been placed, they were quarried locally. The carriageways have flowers in spring. Floral planters have been placed in strategic areas. Opposite the Park is a well maintained shrubbery. The Park is one of the best parks in the area, a new entrance arch has been erected at the Cumberland Drive entrance, its footpaths are now lit up during the hours of darkness, and the playing field is well drained. Families can be seen picnicking at tables with seating in the Children's Area.A booklet has been produced that records the progress from the early days of developing garden areas and providing road side barrels up to the judging for Barnsley in Bloom 2008  will be on sale from the end of September 2008, price £2. Also a calendar price £1.50 will be on sale from the end of October to help raise funds for the project.
