  •                           The Well@Lent Rise Our Aim: To be at the centre of the Lent Rise community, providing resources and a place where people can benefit from information, practical advice and support that will better enable them to meet the challenges of life in a rapidly changing social environment. Three ways The Well will benefit the communityEncounter  space for people of many age ranges and need levelsA Coffee Shop with Soup and Sandwich Bar i.        Meeting Point:  ii.      People serving who can listen and share with people needing support. iii. Special drop in times for the school run parents, elderly, and teen-age       mums, as well as possibly early evenings for teen-agers. ·        Out of the relationships formed, key activities and courses will be developed.·        Community Information Exchange Board as well as Signposting·        Centre for Education about environmental issues (recycling, energy use) ·        Mums and Toddlers Groups for vulnerable parents (brilliant play area out back!)·        Computer and web access point.  ·        Debt Busters: a Money Management service·        Parenting Courses and Relationship Communication Skills·        Skill Courses as desired by people in the community·        Youth Club in basement, perhaps bike repair space in back.  Focusing first on the needs of Lent Rise, liaise with Burnham Youth Workers, Burnham Upper School Community Development Manager, John Spandley. ·        Homework Club (Learning Lab) ·        If necessary to pay rent, run a quality second hand children’s clothes outlet  2. Support local schools and residential care homes.·        Assembly team and governors at Lent Rise School, ·        Teams working in Lent Rise House Residential Care Home ·        Burnham Day Centre Faith and Worship Team·        Burnham Upper School’s community initiatives.   3.  Collaboration with other community focused organisations. Other community organisations in the village need premises for their work. ·        Burnham Health Promotion Trust are hoping we can provide space for example, Parenting Courses, elderly drop-ins, and perhaps be a contact point for elderly people requiring home support, for example, needing help with putting up shelves, or changing light bulbs, shopping, picking up prescriptions. ·        Bucks Adult Education, (all family learning, literacy and numeracy)·        Burnham Older People’s Action Group – Drop-in space only·        Police – place to connect positively with local community·        Burnham Community Association Burnham Parish Council and South Bucks District Council could make use of our presence in the delivery of services / info.
