  • Thursby Book Club was set up in Feb 2008, and we are a group of enthusiastic readers who meet in the evening once every 2 months to discuss a chosen book - readers of all ages from Thursby and the surrounding area are welcome to join, and we cover a wide range of literature, so you might find yourself reading something you wouldn't normally have dipped into! Books are on loan free from Cumbria Libraries so there is no charge. We also recycle books by holding second-hand book stalls during the year, donating the funds to reading-related projects in the village.
