  • We average 70 members each year from all over the local community.Our purpose is to encourage young people to ride and to learn and enjoy all kinds of sports connected with ponies and riding.  To give instruction in riding and horsemanship and to educate members to look after and take proper care of their animals.  To promote the highest ideals of sportsmanship, citizenship and loyalty to create strength of character and self-discipline. This is achieved through scheduled theory, ridden and practical ralleys.  We hold annual tests which are of a nationally recognised level and many of our members go on to further equine education.  We reward with certificates, rosettes and a presentation evening. The club represents Glossop across the North West of England, competing in Show Jumping, Dressage and Mounted Games. Ages range from 3-19 girls and boys.
