  •  Todmorden in Bloom is a small group who have worked tirelessly to make the town a more pleasant place for locals and visitors.  We have created many garden areas eg the Brownie Garden - a herb garden on Burnley Road, opposite the cricket club, Patmos Garden and NatWest garden.  We have helped local schools make wildlife gardens, organised litter campaigns and renovated many wasteland areas.  In addition, we have planted barrier baskets throughout the town and organised hanging baskets for local businesses.  We host an annual garden competition for residents' private gardens, business gardens and pubs.  We are always busy maintaining the planted areas in the town and fund raising in order to buy bulbs and also more sustainable plants. All this has cumulated in our town being winners in the Britain in Bloom competition this year (October 2007) and being given a silver-gilt award.
