  • Thurmaston Heritage Group have been active for four years. We have amassed much information including photos,maps and oral history. This has been presented in the form of a book, Memories of Thurmaston, which has sold well. Collecting information is an ongoing thing and we hold afternoon drop in sessions on the second Monday in each month in the Memorial Hall on Melton Road.We have set up a database to store all our material. We will be having an exhibition of aerial photos and maps on Rememberence Day in the Memorial Hall.There is a booklet of two walks in Thurmaston, one of them being a heritage walk.One of our members regularly writes articles, on some aspect of Thurmaston's history, which appear in the Thurmaston Times.
