  • The Palgrave Society was founded in 1973.In that year it published a monograph entitled THE PALGRAVES OF ROLLESBY describing the family which began in Rollesby with the marriage of Thomas Palgrave and Mary Carmen in January 1773. It contains biographical accounts of their descendants who were living in Rollesby and the surrounding villages well into the 20th century.  Most of the Palgraves living today can trace their ancestry back to Rollesby.
