Further Description
We are looking to open a Rare Breed and Rescue Farm and Eco Educational Centre in the near future and are looking for volunteers for events and anybody who has an interest in the promotion of Ecological Issues and assisting our childrens education by getting them out of the class room and learning in the fresh air.Thank you to everybody who has attended and supported us in our previous fund raising events. Our next event is on the 29th of September and is the first Margaretta House Michaelmas Goose Fair, a traditional old fashioned fair, steeped in history and education. We have lots planned for this event but are still needing some traditional dancers. The event is to be based around the original time the House was built, about 1827 and so we are looking for budding Olivers and to follow My Fair Ladies. We would love to keep this event local, so if anybody knows a busker with talent, a childrens entertainer, face painter, juggler, etc, please give me a call. Is there a school who would like to show off their pupils talents? Is there anybody in the surrounding villages who can assist in getting our project off the ground, builders, carpenters, gardeners, landscapers, or anybody who loves animals and needs some experience for a course. Please get in touch, I have the ideas and the drive but become increasingly overwhelmed when I look at the huge mountain we have to climb in order to even make progress. We like to feed our animals on a diet of fresh vegetables, so any donations of veggies, left over potatoes would be gratefully received as would any animal feed or bedding. On this note if you are a budding gardener and would like an allotment, free of charge, in exchange for some vegetables, again please contact me.Thanks again for your interest and I look forward to hearing from you,Kindest RegardsDawn AltoftMargaretta House
