  • Walcote Memorial Hall 2006 is conveniently located in the centre of the village adjacent to the playing field on the site of the old school and is managed by the Misterton with Walcote Community Trust.  The Memorials to the memory of those who gave their lives have been professionally restored and the Stones are situated on the outside of  the building and the Roll of Honour and 'Lest We forget' stone are inside to protect them from the elements.  They were rededicated at an opening ceremony attended by the Royal British Legion.        click on the thumbnails to view larger imagesThis is a modern, bright community centre with internet access and excellent facilities for the disabled that is suited for most activities and events.   The hall has capacity for 150 people with a smaller meeting room for 15-20.  It is used for fundraising events, weddings, anniversaries and birthday parties for adults and children (plenty space for a bouncy castle), meetings, classes of all types, even corporate events.  There is plenty of car parking and the large playing field alongside the hall can be used subject to permission from the Parish Council.
