  • Stockbrook Crime Prevention group start some 15 years ago, in answer to the rising crime in our area.   We started initially as Neighbourhood Watch but we decided to get together with the other street co-ordinators, we felt it best to have strength in numbers, we started with eighteen co-ordinators.  We formed the first Crime Prevention Group in Derby, and have gone from strength to strength, reducing crime quite significantly also the fear of crime.  We produce a weekly newsletter with the help from the police whom give us the crime statistics for the past week.  This is delivered by hand to Six Hundred members.  On the newsletter we give advice regarding crime prevention, police alerts, and news of new legistration.The group also provide a selection of safety devices e.g. Personnel Attack Alarms, Shed Alarms etc.  These we sell at a very cheaply, just covering p&p.
