  • PEVENSEY FESTIVAL AND FOOD MARKET ASSOCIATION CONSTITUTION  Aims and objectivesTo benefit the people of Pevensey and the surrounding area by the promoting and organising of festivals, markets and fairs, and any other functions or events to the public good; to support and promote local crafts, businesses, farming and industry and encourage trade and tourism to the area; to raise funds for charities and other groups which provide benefit to the people of Pevensey and East Sussex.  Governing bodyThe first steering committee was formed of local like minded people. After a suitable period the governing body will be elected by ballot of the members. MembershipInitially and until the holding of the Association’s first function members will be co-opted or invited by the steering committee. Thereafter membership will be opened to any persons of good character over 18 years of age permanently resident in the village of Pevensey and its environs. Assets In the event of the Association closing down, any assets will be divided between local charities by ballot of the members.
