Further Description
  • The aims of the Trust are to promote Dunnet Head as the most northerly point on the UK mainland - Brough is not the most northerly village but is officially on Dunnet Head.  Brough Bay is great for fishing and diving, the Head has superb opportunities for walking and wildlife, and Many Lochs is good for canoeing.  History, geology, geography, archaeology and wildlife - Dunnet Head has it all and has been described by Caithness in miniature.Part of the perimeter of the head is designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest by SNH, and the plans for the WWII buildings are held by the Trust and they will be exhibited in a number of locations in 2009.  See our website for the schedule.
