  • The Ditton Short Mat Bowls Club was founded by Tony & Maralyn Mulcuck in 1984 as an active indoor sports club that the retired persons in the local area could take part in. It was very soon a success and within a few years the membership had grown from just 20 members to sone seventy.The club meets on most Monday and Friday afternoons at the Ditton Community centre from 1.00 pm till 4.00 pm and we welcome new members, the only requirement we ask of new members who wish to take part is that they have some sort of flat soled shoes.  The club has spare bowls available for new members but we do expect them to obtain the correct equipment in time, and tuition is given where required. We are a very friendly and sociable club and you can play at whichever level you wish, the club has a national player and several County players amongst their membership but it is up to the indiviual how far they wish to go.To find out more about the club why not come along on one of the club days or contact the secretary Kathy Morgan on 01732-843291 or Tony Mulcuck the chairman on 01732-844195.
